A fantastic show for November & December featuring new work from two of our favourite artists.
Sculptor Emma Rodgers is one of the hardest working artists we know. This Autumn shew has had a hat full of important shows, including ‘The Rise of Women Artists’ at the Walker Gallery, and ‘The Liverpool Biennale’ plus shows in Belgium and New York, but you can ignore all those little shows because she’s at SCA now!!! Visit Emma’s page here to see videos of her working process and to find out more about her and her work.
Erni Upton, a fellow of the Royal Society of Painters is one of our best loved landscape artists, superb renditions of the Scottish coastlines he loves with a nod to the Scottish colourists of the past. Visit Erni’s page here to find out more…
Supporting artists include Jon hompson, Julian Mason, Annabel Thornton, Jonathan Kauffman and Allan Whittaker

The greatest inspiration behind my work and much of my primary source material is landscape but I also work from a variety of other sources - memories, dreams, and emotional situations of all kinds. I attempt to portray my personal feelings about subjects.
I am interested in creating complex, sometimes simple, paintings based on an interaction between the man-made and the natural world. I like to develop sequences of work where paintings begin to explore relationships between the subject matter and the imaginary space within the painting.
Some recent work explores ideas about love and war, and the effects of one on the other.
I have contributed to many exhibitions in England and France where I was a member of the Monaco Ecole des Arts Plastique. In September 2000 I collaborated with Andy Goldsworthy on Stones and Snowballs for the Time Exhibition, Barbican Art Gallery. As artist in residence over the last 7 years, I have spent a lot of time painting on site in Cape Cornwall, later developing work and ideas further in my studio.
Moving to Hereford in 2007 immediately led to a burst of new work rooted in the Landscape. By breaking free from the constraints of Abstract Expressionism, and becoming in touch with the rural landscape of Hereford and the surrounding hills. Inspired by the changes in the landscape brought about by , light, weather, and the seasons.
