Our next show opening on Friday 8th October for the PV will be the Sudbourne Print Society.
This will prove to be a complete contrast to our last offering. Featuring a wide mixture of print techniques and subject matter, there really will be something for everyone on show.

Founded in 1992 by artist and printmaker Gareth Jones, the group have slowly expanded and there are now over twenty members, with a very comprehensive studio premises in Sudbourne Park. In 2002. they became a co-operative and not only support each other as a group but offer courses and workshops to artists keen to be introduced to printmaking. The artists in the group display a diverse range of techniques and many are established artists whose work is exhibited and sold nationally and internationally.
The private view will be between 5.30pm and 8pm on Friday the 8th October and all are welcome to join us for a glass of wine and a chance to see the work first.

The Pastel Society UK is a registered charity, widely recognized for its success in promoting and encouraging the use of pastel within the contemporary art world. It was founded in 1898 and its first exhibition was held in the Royal Institute in Piccadilly.  Founder members and early exhibitors included Brangwyn, Degas, Rodin, Rothenstein, Whistler and G.F.Watts. There are currently over 50 members who are all professional artists living and working in this country and overseas.  Membership is granted through a strict assessment of technical skill, originality, innovation and enthusiasm. Their Annual Exhibition is held in June at the Mall Galleries, London and is open to entries from both members and non-members and awards are made for works of particular note. The Society pursues its aims through education and example. Tutorial workshops and demonstrations will accompany the exhibition at GallerySCA.

Artists include Moira Huntly, Libby January, Peter Vincent, Cheryl Culver, Jill Jeffrey, George Thompson, Pauline Clough, Glenys Ambrus, John Ivor Stewart, Ann Wilkinson, and Sue Relph.
